Chicago Midway International Airport
Midway Airport is conveniently located 10 miles from downtown Chicago. Since the Midway Airport Terminal Development Program began in 1997, Midway Airport has experienced record-breaking growth, making it one of the fastest growing airports in the nation.
Midway Airport generates nearly $3 billion in annual personal incomes and provides nearly 50,000 jobs.
The airport has experienced many changes in the last four years. In the summer of 1999, the new six-level parking garage opened. In March 2001, the new Midway Airport Terminal Building opened bringing a new two-level terminal roadway, expanded ticket counters and baggage claim areas and state-of-the art amenities.
Ground Transportation There are a number of ways to get to and from Midway Airport. Located just 10 miles from downtown Chicago, Midway is easily reachable by the Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) Orange Line in just 20-30 minutes, as well as by regional buses, downtown and suburban shuttles, and interstate highways. Most ground transportation access areas are located at the main entrance area of the terminal.
Daily Parking - Parking Garage, Levels 1, 4, 5, and 6
First hour $3, $22/day Floors 1, 4, 5, and 6 of the parking garage, located east of Cicero Avenue, are designated for daily parking. Level 2 is the rental car pick-up and drop-off.
